Many Thanks for your kindly reply PDF27.
It wasn’t a specifically aimed “dig” but at same time, matters in this thread had been in abeyance a while, in so far as membership was aware.
Warm , Kind, and Respectful Regards PDF27, Uyraell.

OK, a new batch of medals have been awarded - the full list of who is entitled to what medal along with what it looks like can be found here.
Hi pdf27,
i started to visit the pictures section of this Site last April and last monday i joined the Forum too. I spent the last three days in editing avatar, profile picture, signature of my site in the Forum and wandering around the threads, just to form an idea about the people and the topics of this beautiful Site. I had the chance to get in contact with some guys that uploaded, commented and colorized many pictures, and to visit their sites. When i’ve seen for the first time those kind of badge, just below their signature, i’ve been thinkin’ that it would be nice to ask to some members where i can find these decoration… In my evening scouting i found this thread with your explanation and the full list of the awarded. Thanks a lot. I think it’s a fantastic system to reward the members according to their merit. I hope i’ll be able to give my little contribution to the matter. Best regards to everybody.
I recommend myself for a medal (imi)
Outstanding Post Medal
Because I made one of the most readed overall topic in the ww2incolor forum from the city siege of the Budapet Battle
The topic started in 09-25-2010 and made 132,023 views and five gold star rated until today (06-15-2015)
http://www.ww2incolor.com/forum/showthread.php/11054-The-Budapest-Siege?
ps
if german ranks avialble in the forum why don’t made german awards also (and any nation own decorations)
I love to have a a german iron cross!
Would you not want Hungarian ones for your thread?
Took me ages to read through it the first time and you keep adding to it
If you interested in the battle, just only a few days to read the whole topic
The Budapest Siege topic is the most detailed topic in the whole internet with many unpublished photos, because the hungarian capitol siege is one of my favourite World War 2 battle, I think is very exciting subject and I work a lot of hours to make it
132,023 view, and five gold star rate in this forum is a great honor for me, and thank you for all who read the topic!
If someone from Hungary honored me a hungarian medal I accept with great respect, but my dream is a german iron cross first class, from Germany, I think that is a real recognition :army:
Sorry but I regret to say: in these days Hungary, is a state of hard foreign profiteering and looks like criminal terrorists manage the whole country and this managing is for the downfall for the fine hungarian minds
A hungarian badge today is equal value of this situation: almost zero
I starting now a similar topic in the next few days, called “Hungarian University Students In The Budapest Battle”
That topic will also contain interesting information from the brave nationalist university students who leaving the school benches to made a fast training and fight together in the first lines with the Wehrmacht and Waffen SS try to defend the hungarian capitol from the outnumbered Red Army (the situation in some points remind me a little bit of the movie "All Quiet in the Western Front’’ by Erich Maria Remarque 1930 or 1979 edition)
After one and half months and after run out ammo and supply, they made a embittered outbreak from the city and try to reach the western german lines on foot, others captured and being a prisoner of war, their story will be included in the upcoming topic
I had thought that this medals business had falling into abeyance. In any case, I second imi’s (self) nomination. The “Budapest” thread is most impressive and informative. A subject about which I wish I knew more. Best regards, JR.
Contributors overdue for recognition for sustained and useful contributions include (there are others that haven’t sprung to mind at the moment, to whom I apologise) are, in random order:
leccy
gumalangi
JR*
forager
Churchill
Then there are others who make only occasional but useful appearances such as royal744; garm1and; DVX; burp and sundry others.
I’ll leave it to others to add to, or subtract from, this list.
Thank you JR!
I recommend for medal:
