The nickname ‘Uncle Joe’ was given to Stalin by US propaganda to try to portray him in a friendlier light to the American people. During the war, that same propaganda machine referred to the communist forces as ‘Our Heroic Soviet Allies’!

Rofl “Uncle Joe” Good one! I can honestly say that’s the first time I’ve heard Stalin referred to as “Uncle Joe”
