SPAMMING PROBLEM

For what it’s worth, in the past 24 hours I’ve banned spammers from 18 unique IP addresses, and Nick has banned a similar number. This should give you guys an idea of the magnitude of the spamming problem at the moment.

Lol, wat are the chances, my class is learning about the pilgrims which are immigrating puritans.

I refer you to post #357. Demand all you like, I’m not going to deal with it any faster.

BTW, do not click on ANY links, porn or otherwise.

Especially the ones offering discount anti-spyware or antivirus software. Because, you then WILL need discount Norton or Zonealarm!

Thanks for all the hard work (and no pay) Mods! You all have been kicking buttocks and bollocks the last couple days:D with all this crap bombarding us!

One suggestion: On several forums, where I’m a member, newly registered members have to have their posts approved by a mod before they can appear on the site. This way spammers can be taken care off swiftly.
Another option would be to introduce one of these non-machine readable squiggly codes, which the applicant would have to type in before he can register. This at least would prevent bots from simply registering to post spam.
