Those members dont show up in are member list which is the confusing part. Unless you found some. A long time ago I purged alot of banned members. So maybe a few are left but I doubt it

This appears to be a whole different site, within this site. If you use the members list button on my PM’d link, you will find them. Esp if you sort them by joined date. The site is still running and allowing members to join, as I have just joined under the user name “TestTestTest”.
I appear on the members list on the old site, but not on the list you would get if you go from here.
4 new members have joined today alone (including my alter ego), and the first page shows 50 members who have joined since 26 Oct 07. Listed by order of joining in descending order.
I figure an average of 10 new users everyday, most not appearing on this sites member list. New members on THIS site do not show up on THAT site.
That site has had TestTestTest, Adpotedbas23, Ablo and Encebas94 join today, but for example our most recent addition on this site “don corelone” does not appear.
Completely separate site mate. Unmoderated and no rules.
Daft thing is, if you follow the tabs on the top, you get put back in to the current site.
It is like a rogue forum.
Narrowed the problem down…its Users Awaiting Email Confirmation. Somehow they are getting thru a loophole by joining the old way.
What about the fact there are umpteen pages of porn links that don’t show up on the main forums either though? :-s

Well now I could go thru and delete the 500 bastards but that would take awhile because there is not mass purge option. However this does not get rid of their posts
Maybe WW2 Admin can help. He may be able to delete the whole thing. Or maybe the whole 2005 archive might have to go!!!
Ive already sent him a couple PMs so we will wait for his decison on how to proceed. I dont think we have to delete the whole 05 archive.
Anyhow thanks and check the awards recommendations. 
So far as I can tell, the 2005 archive is reachable from this site here and doesn’t contain the Spam. Thus the two 2005 archives are presumably seperate and you can delete one without harming the other.
I made a change in that usergroup that will hopefully deter from further posts there but im not sure. Just have to wait and see. Im sure ww2admin has an idea.
FYI … ww2admin has taken care of the secret porn stash. It is gone! Please let us know if you find any others loophole problems. Thanks again to 1000ydstare for alerting us.

What happened?
I’m assuming that someone loaded stuff onto the site in some sort of hidden area that was being accessed somehow?
If so, didn’t it show in site traffic volume?
The old site hides behind this one and somehow ppl were going to that site and joining. By some loophole ww2admin has fixed they were posting in the 05 archive room. Was a really odd problem.
Odd problem indeed. As if there’s not enough porn sites one can just go too without hiding on some message board…
There’s one type of site that people would want to hide on another server or computer so it’s harder to trace, and it’s the last thing you’d want on yours: child porn.
