According to my source, the prototype (Auto-Mitrailleuse Amphibie, DP2 Amphibious Tank) sank on it’s maiden trip in the water. They continued development but this design did not go beyond the experimental stage. It weighed 12 tons, went 24.8 mph on land and only 4 mph on water. 
So it was ugly AND a failure.

Well look at it the problem is that it is heavy in the front If the turret was moved back about 6 inches or at the most 10 inches it may have worked. Hey what was the main gun size? By the looks it’s a 72mm but I can’t be positive, What is it? Never mind it , now that I look hard at it That can’t even pass as a main gun. maybe a HMG or a LMG. but nothing more. But the idea was not a bad one. just wrong way they built it. Very good I idea.
