Things Hitler could have done to win WWII

Hell, the USSR could’ve won the Pacific Theatre if they wished!

This might sound contradicting to my original posts, but the USSR couldn’t do that, the red army under Stalins command could

A) The Red Army was the USSR’s main army
B) Stalin led the USSR

i know that, but still, the red army under stalins control is amazing, the USSR’s army without stalin probably could not have done the damage they did in ww2, and i mean the good damage, not the bad stuff that stalin did.

The official “Soviet” history would like to have the world think just that. Stalin practically screamed for the opening of a Western Front starting with the U.S. invasion of Northwest Africa and a coordinated offensive with the British, who of course were already there. The further invasions of the European mainland and round-the-clock bombing of German industries and logistics were part of that ongoing relief. Let us not forget the massive and ongoing sealift and overland convoys of supplies that helped feed the Russian people and provide both raw materials and finished war products. Hardly a private and complete effort on the part of the Red Army. Certainly, the Soviets suffered more in lost personnel and destruction of infrastructure, but it would have led to total defeat if they had not benifited from a total Allied effort on every front.

With their massive fleet I suppose?

Thats a pretty bold statement

I think bocoming allied with another army may have changed things a lot but doesn’t mean that the axis forces would have won.
The rest of the world wouldnt allow it. The war would never be over.
One thing that makes me think the war could have gone differently is if Germany had developed nuclear war before anyone else. He had so much hatred towards the rest of the world, he would have dropped them without thinking or taking into consideration the damage that gets left behind.

2 things, refering to the post before he one i quoted, it is really not that bold of a statement. And refering to the one i quoted it deffinately would have changed the war. you said that the rest of the wolrd would wouldn’t allow it, so what were they doing te rest of the time that they were fighting it? and bassically the only reason that the axis lost was because hitler killed himself, and he only did that becasue russia (the USSR) was coming in on foot surronding berlin. so if russia was a part of the axis, the axis would have deffinately have won, becasue they would not have been a part alies (obviosly) so then they would have had to fight britain and ll of the other alied countries, so they would have deffinately won.

The Germans were certainly working on both an atomic bomb and a missile delivery system that included a long range, multi-stage, guided ballistic missile that could have hit New York or Washington, and certainly London and Moscow. Remember, the Saturn V rocket used to launch the Apollo missions to the moon in the 60s was the work of many of those same German scientists. A thermo-nuclear device would have been part of the German package; time permitting.

some poeple still say that since Einstein practically built the bomb by himself, and since he was German, some people believe that that counts as the GERMANS atom bomb. I completely dissagree. correct me if im wrong, but i think that einstein once told the president of the united states “You can not use this bomb, i helped you make it because i dont want Hitler to win.” that is not word for word at all. But the ponit is is that he wanted Hitler to loose

If the USSR was part of the Axis then the Axis would have won the war,

Hmm Germany and the USSR totally ideologically opposed political systems, both with egotistical, megalomaniac leaders who trusted no-one on their own side fully never mind each other.
Italy Mussolini had big ambitions but lack the military forces to carry them out and so was frequently disregarded.
The many other smaller countries (Rumania, Hungary, etc lacking in really effective home grown equipment to back up what the Germans gave them or sold to them)

Mostly land powers versus large Naval powers,

Not one I would like to call for definite on either side except that at some point Stalin and Hitler would go to war with each other. (Maybe if they had some other leaders it could have worked but would those then have been able to galvinise their respective people as well as Stalin and Hitler)

The USSR didn’t oppose political systems per say, they were communist, meaning they believed in a classless world where the government controls healthcare, businesses etc. so as to ensure that everyone was treated equally.

Lol

Everyone is born equal but some are more equal than others

Which people would they be?

What evidence do they have that Einstein contributed anything to the Manhattan Project which built the bombs?

Why do the Manhattan Project records and histories omit Einstein as a member of the Project?

Only if those people regard the Manhattan Project as a German enterprise, curiously carried on in America by the Allies with a view to defeating Germany.

Hitler was rather good at sabotaging the German cause, but even in his best, or worst, moments, even he couldn’t have come up with this lunatic scenario.

Einstein wanted Hitler to lose, which is why he wrote to Roosevelt in 1939 encouraging research on the atomic bomb. I’m not aware of him making the statement you quote in any of his letters to Roosevelt, reproduced here http://hypertextbook.com/eworld/einstein.shtml

einstein helped make it, and that was a very rough, horrible quote (the one i said from einstein) the only point is is that he wanted USA to make it as a lever to get germany to surrender, he didn’t want any more people to die, it wa near the end of the war that i think he sid this. and yes he did help, he bassically made it. without einstein, the Manhattan project would probably not been such a success.

For the record it is pingponghobo that tried to make me and our other friend think that Einstein did it alone -.-. He believes that. Here’s a question: do you think it was necessary to drop two bombs?

I think there is a little confusion here. Albert Einstein emigrated to the U.S. well “before” the Nazi takeover of Germany. Einstein’s work was actually on the theory of relativity involving the transference of matter to energy. The thought of an atomic bomb was not in the forefront of military thinking at the time. That came later due to the ripple effect of the understanding of physics and the urgency of war. Germany was “on” to the idea of making an atomic bomb and had even invested in the initial development of both, a thermonuclear device which fortunately fell behind schedule and a delivery system in the form of a ballistic missile. The V2 missiles were single stage concepts of a two stage version capable of striking Washington and New York. Fortunately, they too did not come to fruition. As for Einstein being part of the Manhattan Project; he wasn’t. His work as a physicist and professor however was a determining factor in the development of a new generation of top scientists in physics who carried his knowledge further. They were the generation who staffed the Project and developed the bomb. Shortly after the war, Einstein and other scientists, concerned with the developing proliferation in nuclear weapons signed on to a petition to not develop and use nuclear weapons again. We all know how far that went. The genie was forever out of … that … bottle.

i see. and i will sound r3eally stupid saying this, but even though he wasn’t in the manhatten project, did he still say that he didn’t want anyone to use it?

Yes, you do.

I’ve given you warnings about this crypto-trolling in several threads in which you’ve recently posted.

You seem to be ignoring them.

That is a serious mistake.

I will not give you any further warnings.

Stop playing the dumb bunny, and stop playing your juvenile cyber games. Do that on your anime and hacking sites if that’s what you want to do.

Don’t try to dispute my warnings, which are all formal mod warnings.

You’ve had a much better run than you deserve, and purely on the basis that I’m making allowances for your supposed youth.

One more foot out of line and you’re going on a holiday. The duration depends upon your offence.
