What WW2 era firearms have you fired?

The rifle pictured is a British L1A1 with SUIT sight. (SUIT pouch beneath.)

It is a modified FAL, the main differences being the deletion of the selective-fire feature, folding cocking handle, sand cuts on the bolt, lack of last rd hold-open, the furniture (giving a better cheekweld,) and a damn good magazine/latch lip.

It is, in the opinion of many, the best variation of the FAL.
Personally I’ve never had a stoppage on these models.

Anyway, back to WWII era firearms.

Except gas stoppages

Aye, different ammo types will do that.

FNM ring a bell ?

The FNM’s fine - it was when I had the gas set for FNM & then went onto other bammo… I seem to remember that someone else was doing the “BANG STOPPAGE! BANG STOPPAGE! click click BANG BANG BANG” routine with some locally-produced bammo

Aye, can’t trust that furrin muck !

i really want to fire a real one (not to a person), but so far with no luck:(
delete a whole bunch of message again to avoid flame war

I have fired the following:

Czech Vz.24 Mauser (I own it)
Webley and Scott Mk.VI, in original .455 not .45 ACP (I own it)
Thompson SMG, full automatic
Yugo M48 Mauser
French MAB “Ruby” .32 ACP Pistol (not sure which model)
Mosin Nagant '44 Carbine
M1 Carbine

Wow, there’s no way I can top Sgt. Mjr. Stoat with all his firearms, but I have a WWII Japanese Rifle (not too clear on the model) and a Colt 1911, neither of them are in condition to fire, unfortunately. :frowning:

On July 3rd I fired an M1 Garand, and dual 1911A1’s, one of them was a Colt and one was an Ithaca.

I shooted a 9mm,but i dk if it´s from ww2
we just call 9mm to the standart argentine gun of the army and police.

If you ever go to Vegas look in the phone book for gun shops, several indoor ranges rent dozens of sub machineguns. Mike
