Who is that Person? (also open for everyone)

well,. am sure he is Emanoil Jonescu

No, my dear Mr. Gumalangi. Unfortunately, your newest offers are erroneous as well. You see that golden Air Force clasp which is positioned slightly above his right chest pocket? Well, that’s quite a problem-solving sign, because that tiny piece of shining metal is absolutely unique and completely unconnected with the Romanian WW 2 wool-tunics.

d’ascanio,. if this wrong again,. i rest my case

Oh, please – don’t be fulfilled with that diluting faintheartedness, my dear Mr. Gumalangi! Especially not now, when you almost got the right answer. You see, even though our mysterious officer actually did some academic studies at the Maritime Academy in Trieste, his native country is located east of Italy, across the Adriatic Sea.

The two officers behind - are Croatians?

i have come across those wins similar to royal hungarian air force,. but cannot figure out who is the well decorated man

Major General Vladimir Kren,.

Not likely. :frowning:
Ha was executed at the age of 45…This guy looks a bit older!

it was a shot in the dark :D,. saw that most of croats high ranks were executed by Tito

Hawkeyes, my dear Mr. Tiger 205! No, actually they are Hungarians. For example, lieutenant-general (altábornagy) vitéz Magyarosy is second from left in back row:

All the others, however, are Croatians. And our distinguished personality actually was highly praised by late Marshall Tito.

Aladár Szirmay,. really,. my head starts to spin,.

Aladár Szirmay in Croatian uniform? Alas, my dear Mr. Gumalangi, that kind of a historical rarity was not presented by us here.

Please, have some rest, take a nice cup of tea, and reconsider again all high-ranking Croatian officers in active service during the WW2. I am assuring you that the answer will be found right away.

I’ll give it a try: Slavko Stancer? He’s the only one that comes to my mind right now and he’s got about the age…

But as far as I know General Slavko Štancer was an disabled veteran, my dear Mr. Flamethrowerguy - a man without his right arm, furthermore an officer sentenced to death and not a retired free citizen with an approved full-pension, received personally on a regular basis while being in retirement after the WW2, up until his natural death, which occurred in 1954.

Right, I just know one photo of Stancer and on this one the disability can not be seen.

Emil (Milan) UZELAC ?
… the founder and “father” of 3 different air forces.

YES, my dear Mr. Tiger 205 – major general Milan Uzelac, an orthodox Serbian born in Hungary (Komárom), the very first commander of the K.u.K. Fliegertruppe, the commanding officer of the RYAF, and the first commander of the Air Force of the Independent State of Croatia, indeed was our mysterious personality! Here are some additional informations about this exceptional personality:

Yu have my sincerest congratulations upon your well-deserved success. And now – please, proceed! We are eagerly awaiting your next conundrum.

Thanx a lot, and this is a VERY EASY one for the time being (until I can find a more difficult one)

Who is the person in the middle (broken arm)?

Yes:Austria, 3 May 1945: Wehrner Von Braun (with arm in cast) surrenders to the Americans at Reutte, in May of 1945. Left to right are Charles L. Stewart, U.S. counter-intelligence agent; Lt. Col. Herbert Axter, attached to Gen. Dornberger’s staff; Dieter K. Huzel; Wernher von Braun with broken arm, Dornberger.

THAT WAS FAST!
CONGRAT.!

AND I AM WAITING FOR YOUR NEXT ENIGMA!
(It seems I can wait for Barca’s goals as well…but with less success)
