WW2 aircraft

Bravo, my dear Mr. Carson! Yes, the Piaggio P. 32 II designed by Mr. Giovanni Pegna and equipped with a pair of Isotta-Fraschini Asso XI RC-40 liquid-cooled engines, indeed was our mystery airplane. That machine represented a modern design for its time, but, unfortunately, she was a failure due to lack of adequate powerplants.

Yet again, your well deserved triumph.

Good afternoon to everybody (or good morning or whatever it may be)
This is a rather common outline downunder…
Carson1934

How comes that not a single soul is interested for this lovely Australian two seat Commonwealth Aircraft Corporation CA-6 Wackett intermediate trainer? :frowning:

It seems to me that we do need something more exotic, my dear Mr. Carson. Well, you will excuse me for a moment, I think that I have something pretty rare in my library…

Yes, esteemed Librarian, it is the CAC Wackett as I said from downunder…I’m now expecting your rare bird…
Carson1934

sorry for that, I came too late here!
I try to do my best with the next enigma!

Thank you, my dear Mr. Carson. And finally – here it is:

This is another could-have-been birdie, which was originally constructed as a light training and liaison aircraft.

Esteemed Librarian
I could be dead wrong but this birdie looks very much like the Rubik R-14 “Pinty” an aircraft devised by that little known hungarian genius of Erno Rubik…

If you read hungarian the above link will tell you everything about the “Pinty”

Congrat Mr. Carson!

This was an interesting birdy, unfortunately I came to this thread to late once more (or you are too fast for me :))) )

And I’m sure, that all of you have recognized, that the son of Rubik invented the world famous MAGIC CUBE.

Thanks Tiger…I was just fortunate because the Pinty is the only Rubik aircraft I know (and i understand he designed almost 30 different models mostly gliders)…of course we should wait for Librarian’s confirmation…
Cheers

I understand you are going to enjoy my link concerning the above aircraft (I enjoyed looking at the pics because the only word I know in hungarian is Virag!)

OK, it seems my Italian is stronger (ambout 30 words)
Bona Sera Signorina, etc…

Bravo, my dear Mr. Carson! Hats off to you. It was intended to be a difficulty, but you have succeeded in no time. Please, continue – we are awaiting your next aeronautical riddle.

Hello everybody!

I hope you’re enjoying your WE…and now another lamb…beautiful and easy…
Cheers

Fokker C 10?
OR C X.

Finnland used it with radial engine …if Í guess well…

Dear Tiger
Yes you’re right it is indeed the Fokker C.X…I knew it was fairly easy but I tried to fool you by submitting a pic with an inline Kestrel engine and czech markings which is less usual than the normal radial Bristol engine with finnish markings…
So nothing else to be done but waiting for your next quizz
Cheers
Carson1934

Indeed this is Dutch markings (check the order of the colors and the orange middle) not Czech, but I agree.
I also prefer in-line planes as more beautiful - but somehow the radial was more brutal and bulletproof for ground attack…

So which you prefer: Yak-3 or La-7 / P-51 or P-47 etc…

My next enigma!

Good afternoon
Yes the above a/c is well known by me: it is the Bellanca 28/90 “Flash” (NR190M) produced by that italian genius whose name was Giuseppe Bellanca (born in Sicily)…
Would appreciate your confirmation Tiger
Cheers
carson1934

dear Mr. Carson,

perfect answer, congrat.!
It’s your turn!

Good evening gentlemen,
