20N29 is unable to penetrate a all tiger length ways, it would depend on their armour. Two versions were available, Pink and Brown.
Pink was easier to penetrate than Brown.
But it was rapidly found that brown is TWF.
Yes but it was also PPQ.
DofQ was also better for Pink. But a penetrated Brown could get very messy.
Penetrated browns are extremely messy, but offer far greater satisfaction to the tail gunner when the penetration is complete.
Correct preparation for brown penetration can negate many of the messy effects.
If you force a high pressure jet of water in ahead of the ‘warhead’ then I believe it works wonders in fallout preventation. 8)
