Afternoon, my name’s Andrew, I’m 17 and I’m heavily interested in WW2. I’m constantly learning about the second world war, and I’m particularly interested in tank combat, infantry combat, and the Russian front. I’m probably going to do a lot more reading than I am posting, but thought a quick introduction would be a good way to start.

I am interested in Japanese rifles. Why is their no thread on this?. Why are we discrimnating against Japanese rifles. Someone should do something about this and start a thread on this, and maybe include plutoniam tipped bullets if they were used in WW2.

My name is Randall and I am from Texas. Currently I am working in Beijing China and I use the internet a lot to study WW2 history and to learn more about some vehicles I am interested in.

My primary intersts in vehicles are the Ferdinand and Elefant tank destroyers that Germany utilized in the war.

I have collected many books and models of these vehicles , however I will continue to try to locate as many photos , models and books as I can find.

I have an IMAI 1/16 scale Elefant still in the original box and I am using it as the core of my hobby and collection.

If anyone has some rare photos of these vehicles they could share with me I would appreciate it.

Ive been monitgoring this site for a while but was never able to receive the activation to register for some reason until only recently. Anyway Im interested in most things WWII, but particularly interested in the technological developments of equipment and electronics. I have a great fondness for the heavy bombers.

As a new member, I was wondering if there is anyone that can direct me to my query. I am looking for info that supports the following: The 7’th born child in 1933 when Hitler came to power was granted the honourary role of having Hitler as the godfather. I heard this from a German friend of mine who is claiming that Hitler is their god father…has anyone heard of this as I can not find any info on the web about this??

I found it!. It is true. The 7’th son born in Germany could have Hitler as their God Father. …must be german tradition. Today every twin kid gets the german Federal President as a godfather.

My dad was in the 226 Signal Corps. He didn’t talk much about his service, but some of the guys compiled a detailed history of the 226 about 15 years ago, and it’s been a valuable source of info.
