New members topic- Introduce yourself here:

I am a member of several forums and this is the only one that won’t activate you unless you post whether you have something to say or not. I joined here to ask a question about a Japanese rifle since I assumed there were some experts here.

I will find another forum.

Please delete me from your membership.

Should we include this post in the category of someone with something to say, or not, before you are deleted?

Mate , do you remember you ask me in other thread , has i missed something…?
You’ve missed…
Now the Herman2 is a welcomed loyal boy and , moreover, a best friend of PZ:)See post #377.
So why not to help him …

Afternoon, my name’s Andrew, I’m 17 and I’m heavily interested in WW2. I’m constantly learning about the second world war, and I’m particularly interested in tank combat, infantry combat, and the Russian front. I’m probably going to do a lot more reading than I am posting, but thought a quick introduction would be a good way to start.

I am interested in Japanese rifles. Why is their no thread on this?. Why are we discrimnating against Japanese rifles. Someone should do something about this and start a thread on this, and maybe include plutoniam tipped bullets if they were used in WW2.

I think there was one actualy… if its in archive or not there, feel free to make a thread.

THANK YOU for that warm welcome. This forum should have more NICE members like you. It is gratifying that a new members thread has at least some senior members who would at least say hello to a struggling new member. Everyone else gets a nice hello, except me. I mean this thread is suppose to be for Welcoming new members, not criticizing them, for a few slightly overlooked comments that I may have posted ages ago when I was a very new member and perhaps a bit green at the time…(P.s>thanks also to Chevan for pointing out what I missed:)

You suspiciously quicly getting older , my friend.
Yet couple of weeks ago you were a green , now you a enough red:)
What colour will you show to us next week?

My name is Randall and I am from Texas. Currently I am working in Beijing China and I use the internet a lot to study WW2 history and to learn more about some vehicles I am interested in.

My primary intersts in vehicles are the Ferdinand and Elefant tank destroyers that Germany utilized in the war.

I have collected many books and models of these vehicles , however I will continue to try to locate as many photos , models and books as I can find.

I have an IMAI 1/16 scale Elefant still in the original box and I am using it as the core of my hobby and collection.

If anyone has some rare photos of these vehicles they could share with me I would appreciate it.

Randall

Welcome, Randy. This model of yours must be huge! Good pictures of the Ferdinand/Elefant are quite rare. I uploaded two photos related to this heavy tank hunter in the photo sections of this site. As a buff of this issue you’ll certainly know them already:

G’day all,
Ive been monitgoring this site for a while but was never able to receive the activation to register for some reason until only recently. Anyway Im interested in most things WWII, but particularly interested in the technological developments of equipment and electronics. I have a great fondness for the heavy bombers.
Cheers all.

I found it!. It is true. The 7’th son born in Germany could have Hitler as their God Father. I wonder if god father status was prominant in Japan or other countries at the time?Anyway’s if any one is interested in how they could apply to have Hitler as their God Father, here is the web site:www.bytwerk.com/gpa/nv35-04a.htm

…must be german tradition. Today every twin kid gets the german Federal President as a godfather.

Welcome folks!

New member here. Glad to be here.

My dad was in the 226 Signal Corps. He didn’t talk much about his service, but some of the guys compiled a detailed history of the 226 about 15 years ago, and it’s been a valuable source of info.

Have been unable to post on forum?
Thought I would try posting here.

Regards,
Mike R.
