Hi there. I live in Dallas.
Hey, welcome to the site.
Hello this is my first time here I was in the 52 sea bees attached to the 3th Marines on the Island of Guam in 1945.
Hi everybody, this is my first post. I have just recently become interested in ww2 thru some Stephan Ambrose book’s,and by the television show Combat.I feel I will learn much more through this site.
Hello! I’ve returned, and good bloody luck killing me!
Hey guys, welcome to the site.
I think someone forgot their original password!
Man, he is persevering.
I am trying to research where my father’s SeaBee unit served during WWII. His discharge states that his service includes NCTS at Davisville, R. I. After that he was in the 62nd NCB and the 135th NCB. This is another case of not listening close enough to war stories as I grew up and no longer having my father with me to ask. I know he left Rhode Island on a ship which went through the Panama Canal and docked at Honolulu. We have family photos of him and a friend in front of a grass hut on Wikiki Beach. From there, my oldest brother said that wherever the 1st Marines went, my father’s SeaBee unit was attached.
I have tried researching the 62nd and 135th. I know that the 62nd was at Iwo Jima during the time my father served. I can find nothing about the 135th. He served from October 27, 1943, until October 3, 1945.
I can remember my father talking about being on the Mariannas and in the Phillipines. He was a carpenter.
Any info that anyone has would be appreciated.

How come I see people that have a label attached to their name which reads:“banned”, yet they still post notes. What does banned mean then if they still post notes?Does anybody know as i am confused. Is there a banned first class and a banned second class rating system. I see someone named Cool is banned yet he made a note, so I guess he must not be banned cause he’s Cool?..This is so confusing, I got a headache now.
