I believe color photography and film has been around since long before WWII. I think the fact that is was prohibitively expensive is the reason you do not see more of it…

I am Pamela Moore and live in Alabama. Recently my Dad who was in the Army in World War II died and I found some photos I was hoping someone might recognize. I would like to post them if I may. I do ancestry research and would like to link these gentlemen with my Dad if possible. One of them has the name of a plane behind them and thought that might help narrow it down. Thanks Pamelafairhop@gmail.com. Not sure how to post the photos. Can someone help? Thanks
Rank insigia should be accessible from your user cp, or you can ask one of the moderators, or administrators. Choosing the insignia of different countries should also be accessible from your cp area. Button is located in he upper left corner of your screen.
If you want to actually join a foreign military, you can, but not as an American Citizen. you’ll have to renounce you citizenship to do that. Some little thing about divided loyalties, serving a foreign power,Yadda-Yadda.

:)Hi everybody, I’m new here, was not aware of this great site till I searched for photos of an IJN 25mm triple.
This site looks great, and as a modeller I’m going to love it.
A little bit about me, I’m 50, a poppy to 3 beautiful grand childeren, married 29 years, and am a current serving member of the Royal Australian Air Force (24 years now).
My modelling interests are mainly 1/700 IJN ships (cause there are so many of them).
Anyway look forward to being a part of this forum.
Bye
Hey guys. I’m new here. You guys seem pretty smart in the firearms realm. I’m really interested in WWII firearms as i just bought a Mosin-Nagant 91/30 built in the U.S.S.R. in 1943 in the Izhevsk factory. My father owns several AR-15’s and many other sorts of more modern rifles. I hope I can offer something to you and maybe learn some things along the way. Thanks.
Hello and welcome all
Warm Hello, Harshad, VeniVidiVici , bill44, Todesengels.
I Hope you enjoy this Forum as much as I do, the folk here are a fine group.
Kind Regards, Uyraell.
My family is Russian. During WWII they suffered horribly under the Nazi flag. Hitler did not understand the great love that Russians have for one another and their love of Sacred Mother Russia. Listen to Russian music and read the great writers’ words. Then, you will understand. Thank you for your website and thank you to those who take part by cummunicating with one another. Thank you and God Bless You!
Welcome, mayatatyana, I hope you enjoy this Forum.
There are some very knowledgeable contributors here.
Regarding your family: there are few members here who have not in some way or other lost relatives during World War Two. My Condolences for those lost, be they your family, or those of others here. In most cases, those losses diminish all Humanity.
I have not heard a large amount of Russian music, but have enjoyed the dozen or so pieces I have heard, and as with music of most other nations, find the Russian pieces I know to be beautiful and moving. Then again, music should unite, not separate people and nations.
Kind Regards, and Blessed be mayatatyana, Uyraell.
