I just hit him with a ten day ban, if and when he comes back and he repeats his offence, I think its time to perma-ban.

He’s still on his one-track mind about the nuclear bombing of Japan, there and in other threads elsewhere. His response to my comment about the cruising speed of warships seems in particular to show a tenuous grasp on reality.

Oh, and I just banned david44for as a spammer but so far as I can tell he’s still a normal member. The infraction shows but he isn’t banned. I think this really does need to be sorted out - right now the only way the majority of us can deal with spammers is simply delete their posts and that’s it.

Sorry mate, I dont know what the heck is going on either. If you list their names I will try and ban them myself manually, but its not a quick click process.

Chevan has sent complaint PMs to me regarding Panzerknacker’s PMs to Herman2 (which of course Herman2 sent back to Chevan, PMs in which Chevan is referred to as a “forum clown”)…

I’m not sure what to do since PK kept it off the board and PMs are private as far as I’m concerned…

Nothing so far as I’m concerned - I also think PMs are private and so none of our business. Perhaps suggest to Chevan that he should feel free to describe PK as a “forum clown” or similar in PMs of his own?

PM = PRIVATE message … means … not our problem. UNLESS it is in the stalker or dangerous category.

Back to the subject … PMs are supposed to be private except for staff on a SHOULD KNOW basis. PMs are the place for our members to do whatever for the most part. If one person PM’s another with a “fuck you” … i could care less. If they PM them with child porn then I want to know about it. FYI I hate child porno ppl. So notify ww2admin GS and whatever authority is in your nation.

I want to make a point that any PMs that are posted, for illegitimate reasons, should be punished by a staff member. If they are in question then they should be removed and posted in a staff room. Its OUR call … not THEIRS! We are here to keep the peace. Others had problems with this. I hope you all dont.

I dont have any problems, still check in every day, but find the amount of posts now are usually far too much to read in total. I rely on the other Mods for the intricate stuff and tend to concentrate on the one or two forum ‘Klowns’ and try and check out the new guys. You can tell a lot from a first post or two I think.

Oh and sorry to hear your having problems GS, hopefully its internet related and not personal.

I gave an informal warning to “colonel hogan” (http://ww2incolor.com/forum/member.php?u=7837) for starting an already existing thread (/t/101st-airborne/4139/1) and another one free of any common sense (/t/afeidisane/4140/1).
The kid seems to be one of the comrade commisar/ww11freak34 kind. Since he’s 15 years old and did behave reasonably so far I made it “informal”.

I’ve edited out Stevey’s “smile of a murdering rapist” comments on a photo of a Soviet Colonel of Tank Troops, after he failed to come up with any evidence to support his contention that the guy in the photo was guilty of murder and rape. I suggest banning him from the photo site as well if he does anything similar again.
