Hello my friend!
This elegant floatplane must be a Dornier Do22 of 1935…
Cheers
Carson
Indeed it is, my dear Mr. Carson! Good job on spotting it right away. Your turn!
Hello wingsofwrath!
Let’s see if I can propose following classical biplane of the early thirties…
Best of luck to you;)

Sorry for the grainy pic…
I believe that to be a DeHavilland D.H.83 Fox Moth.
Hello Ealdwita
Long time no hear! Yes it is:D: the pictured aircraft is a De Havilland Canada DH83C “Fox Moth” of the pakistani air force. The “C” type had an enclosed pilot cockpit whereas the DH83 had an open one.
It’s your turn dear Sir
Cheers
Carson
I would have posted earlier, it you had posted anything I recognised!
Anyway, have fun with this one - it’s truly unique!
Now that is an aircraft I’ve never seen before in my life. This should be a fun hunt!
Well this is really unique… It might be british built in the thirties and I have a mind it is a somewhat awkward version of a better known aircraft…I’ll keep on searching…
Carson
PS I’m glad to notice that this thread is jumping back to life…BTW I suppose a clue would be in order!
The date is 1940, and yes, Mr.Carson you may be right about it being a ‘version’. Only one was ever built.
Could the Miles M18 (with a tricicle landing gear and double tail) be the origin of your nightmarish aircraft?
Carson
Found it! We are dealing with the General Aircraft GAL.45 Owlet, a trainer variant of the GAL.42 Cygnet II!
I knew that cowling looked suspiciously like one built for a de Havilland Gipsy Major engine…
Well done - an Owlet indeed! Much faster detection than I imagined! All yours, sir!
All right, my esteemed colleagues, please answer this simple riddle - what is the name of this contraption?
its a,. ambrams P-1 short-range reconnoisater prototype
Reckon that’s what it is:
Further
Yes, that’s pretty much exactly what that thing is.
Mr. Gumalangi, you have the field!
please have a guess
In spite of US colours I would say Mitsubishi Ki83 a very fast heavy fighter of 1944 (maximum speed 704 Kmh) of which only 4 items were produced
Cheers Carson
you got that carson,. the thread is yours
