New members topic- Introduce yourself here:

Hello and welcome , i am sure you will have great time here !

Hi,

I’m an Australian living in Scotland since 1993, and have had an interest in the Third Reich since the 1960s. I have been collecting original Third Reich photographs and albums (and other paraphernalia along the way) since the 1980s. My work career has alternated between advertising agencies (design and copywriting) and newspapers (design and journalism).

Married to an Australian girl of German parentage, we now have six children, four of whom were born in Scotland. For the last six years I have been involved with the editorial and production of a local lifestyle publication, The North Magazine. Those interested can visit it here www.north-magazine.com

I’m also the joint owner of 20,000 glass plate photo negatives featuring portraits of Scottish Highlanders taken in the 1920s and 1930s. Anyone on the forum with Scottish ancestry from the Highlands might want to take a look at the archive. (It’s just been launched with only 500 or so images online at the moment). www.scottishhighlanderphotoarchive.co.uk

I’ve also recently launched a website to promote a new magazine for collectors of Third Reich photographs, but I’ll add the link in the WWII Websites section of the forum.

Looking forward to contributing, but in the past I seem to always come away with more new information every time I’ve visited.

Welcome! I read a book about Erwin Rommel this summer. Was wonderful to read!

Hello mates!

I’m a french lonesome modeller ;)from the braille scale (1/72) and I’m building only WW2 tanks, trucks, cars, motorcycles, figs and dioramas.

I always love to find new camos or sceneries for my works and I know here it’s the right place to be!

Greetings WW2 lovers, I am 16 and I love WW2 German history and I hope that enjoy my stay here.

Hello and welcome here

As an introduction, I would like to point you to http://www.bbc.co.uk/ww2peopleswar/stories/74/a2006074.shtml
There’s my WW2 story; and I like to maintain and ride my 1942 BSA WDM20 !

Hi…I’m a 57 year old Indo daughter of a former NLIK Sergeant Major. I believe he served from around 1935 - 1949, and was a POW (like everyone else) during the Japanese occupation. I’m trying to soak up as much information as I can about the NLIK and really appreciate everyone’s dedication to keeping the memories alive. I don’t speak or read Dutch, so I’ve come pretty much to a dead end researching Dutch archives. I did request his service records from SAIP, so hopefully I’ll be getting something from them soon. Amazing that it took me this long to become interested in my heritage…but now I’m hooked!!

Howdy
Howdy. I am a graduate of The A&M College of Texas, Class of 1957. Retired high school administrator in Houston, Texas, and now living in College Station. I was a reservist in the 90th Infantry Division, Headquarters Company, 315th field Artillary Battalion.

Hi.
Just got to this site from a blog that posts absurd pictures. The pic in question was the one with the howitzer silencer.
I lurked for about 15 minutes before I decided to register.

Greetings and felicitations to all you new people.
May your introductions not remain your only posts here!

Thanks, Flamethrowerguy. I served in the Reserves after Korea and before Viet Nam. I did have some of my brother Aggies in Nam, however. My unit was the 90th Infantry Division, which saw action in the ETO during WWII from D-Day until the end. My commanding general in the 90th was Gen. Earle Rudder, who led the U.S. Rangers at Point Du Hoc on D-Day as a Colonel.

Hi texag57 from a fellow Texan down in S.A… Hope you like it here and stick around a while.

I whole heartedly agree!

Thanks, navyson. I plan to stay around. I am glad I came across this website while surfing. Having members from all over the globe can bring some interesting discussions. :army:
