Welcome Sarah aka LadySS,

I hope that you’ll like it here.

Panzerknacker,

I seem to remember that we had a German girl member here about a year ago that used the following image for her avatar until one of our mods told her to change it to one with a World War 2 theme

I think she changed it to Erwin Rommel. Haven’t seen much of her since.

Sophie Scholl
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sophie_Scholl

Sophia Magdalena Scholl (9 May 1921 – 22 February 1943) was a prominent member of the White Rose non-violent resistance movement in Nazi Germany. She was convicted of treason after having been found distributing anti-war leaflets at the University of Munich with her brother Hans. As a result, they were both executed by guillotine.

Since the 1970s, Scholl has been celebrated as one of the great German heroes who actively opposed the Third Reich during the Second World War.[1]

Yeah, that mod was me

LOL…Don’t feel bad Dani, I didn’t realize the mistake until last week while doing some research on Sophie Scholl. Just happened upon the picture and recognized it from that German girl’s original avatar.

Actually I felt very good because I had that opportunity to make a mistake and to learn about.

Me too

We’re both wiser for it now…he, he

Of course the thing to remember is that we dont suffer Nazis or NeoNazis here so I would encourage LadySS to change her Avatar if she is serious about taking part in the site while not wishing to instantly antagonise other site members.

Just my two-pence worth.
