Have fun with that, may I suggest ditching the sheep and getting into Falklands oil instead. I was attacked by sheep once…the horror…the horror!
Well…I’ve come to the conclusion that sheep will pretty much look after themselves, so long as you feed them in the morning and round them up at night.
I will remember your advice, and opt for placid sheep only!
BTW-what does the little green tab under my rank mean? It says I’m on a distinguished road, and so does everyone else’s.
Thanx
OK, Iron
we’ll start the edit (through private messages…) of a pocket-size handbook “Italian chat up lines for a good approach to chicks”.
Cheers!
Hah! If only, sheep need to be watched at all times they are devious little b*ggers.
Ace, that’s my summer holidays sorted.
Hmmm…clearly the price of peace will be eternal vigilance!
That’s certainly the case in New Zealand.
For the sheep!
I bid you "WELCOME, Smoking Frog. This is a great site, especially since we can communicate with gents from other nations in a civilized way. We also have a section on the Southern States of the United States War of Southern Independence, if you have any interest in that. The Southern Confederacy almost received diplomatic recognition from the English Crown. So we, in Texas, have a fondness for England. I am also a fan of Winston Churchill, and listen to his speeches on-line. Texag57
Thank you for the welcome kind sir!
I’m sure you’re also aware that we built many of your commerce raiders for you and crewed a fair few too. I’ve always had a fair amount of interest in that war, jolly interesting.
sorry folks, took me some time to discover this forum, but i like it…,
and pls take it easy on me…
grts. Ronny
Hi Ronnyguitar,
welcome to the forum!!! I wish you to enjoy the forum, the same way i do… Keep on slide!!!
Welcome Ronnyguitar. I am sure you will get along just fine. Glad to have you aboard.
Hello Iron Yoeman.
I knew about the building of the raiders for us, but I did not realize any of the Empire furnished some crew as well. We thank your Country for that. We may need them again some day.
Those who have survived would be very, very old by now and probably not much help.
More seriously, my city was an enthusiastic supporter of CSS Shenandoah and supplied 42 illicit crew members to replace 14 deserters and other crew shortfalls from the ship. http://www.heritageaustralia.com.au/pdfs/Heritage1105_OH%20Confederate%20raiders.pdf
Thank you very much for that website. I am no history expert, but I do love reading history. I did teach U.S. History in high school, and had a lot of fun supplementing the textbook. I am involved now in reading some of Churchills tomes, and also enjoy reading all that comes out about George Armstrong Custer, even though he fought on the wrong side in the War of Southern Independence.
Best Wishes,
Hi folks,
I’m Davide and I’m from Italy.
I’m very interested in WWII.
This passion began years ago admiring pictures of Italian capitol ships, and now I’m intereste in every aspect of the war.
Thanks for this remarkable forum and site.
Davide
Hello Davide,
Welcome to this site. I hope you will enjoy it as much as I. What city, town, or part of the country of Italy are you from? Publish some pictures, and stories that will add to this most interesting website.
Joel :army:
I’m from Saluzzo, a little city near Turin, in the North-West of Italy, in a region called Piemonte (Piedmont).
I’ll publish every story or picture that will be useful for the site!
I am familiar with Turin, due to the legend regarding the “Shroud”. I will find your city on the map. I am sure there was some WWII action in your area, and many interesting and beautiful places to visit. My wife and I watch “International House Hunters” on t.v., and really enjoy seeing the countryside in Italy and Sicily when those areas are shown. Beautiful country.:army:
