I will be away from 20 Mar to 31 Mar. Im off to Normandy, dont know if I will be able to check in, but will try and post some pics…
Having computer problems…be off and on till I get it fixed.
I might be gone for the better part of a week starting Monday for training. I will try to log in when/if I can though…
Okay, here it really is. I will be offline for a few days starting Friday night, but hopefully will be back early next week…
Out for the weekend (shooting), back sunday night.
But what about the bayonet?
Enjoy your bivouac. I have a computer badly in need of reformatting, but I’ll do that next weekend…
It was live fire & manuover (well, some more basic shooting working up to fire team fire and manouver this morning). Bayonets were indeed fixed for the fire & manouver bit!
I burnt through about 500 rounds, and have a similar number of bruises on my knees and elbows.
Off to Iceland with my sister, back next Friday
I’m off to the beach shack for the next three days.
Away playing Terry Taleban for the Bn TESTEX until sunday
Have fun. I’m thinking of joining the reserves myself…
Well, more of the enemy turned up than did from one of the companies, so myself and one other guy suddenly found outselves switching sides at the last minute. Got banged about a bit, but otherwise a good weekend.
Away for the weekend with this lot: http://www.freewebs.com/group154/index.htm
Back sunday afternoon/evening.
I’ll be off for a short vacation to Belgium. Back on friday!
Away with HCPT again (this time actually in Lourdes). Back sunday.
Paul, please light a candle there for our dark souls.
Didn’t light any candles I’m afraid (hands too full of small children who thought they could fly) but if any of you want to see the photos I’ll add you on facebook.
Oh, and I’m off to Munich for the weekend again any time now. This is turning into something of a habit…
Does this mean you’re becoming a nun?
My aunt brought back a wicker Chianti type bottle of water from Lourdes in the 1950s. Its contents are believed by the more religiously credulous members of my family (i.e. everyone except me) to have warded off all manner of ailments and mortality in the family.
My grandmother credited my (statistically highly probable) avoidance of polio to regular applications from the Chianti bottle in the 1950s when polio was still a scourge, but I think polio vaccination had rather more to do with it.
I strongly suspect that neither I or the young lady I was visiting are in any danger of taking Holy Orders in the imminent future…
Oh, and to show you how seriously we tookthe curative powers of the water, we took some home in a Pineapple juice bottle we bought from the hotel bar for the princely sum of three Euros (may have had something to do with the associated Rum). Although since French for Pineapple is Ananas, you can perhaps see why we thought it might be blasphemous to get it blessed as well
