I’m away this weekend in a hut somewhere in Wales (apparently very near Snowdon) for my brother’s stag weekend.
Wow, a stag do in a hut, sounds like Wales. Some Sheep related activity I presume?
Mainly canoeing-related, plus various things like hanging him upside down from the ladder to the bedroom and feeding him mixed drinks down a funnel. Fairly standard really.
What sort of mixed drinks are most popular with sheep hanging upside down from ladders?
Or did I get something mixed up?
Yes, it was my brother on the ladder rather than a sheep. Not that there’s much difference. Mixed alcopops, beer and chilli vodka down the same funnel I believe.
Belated advice on my recent absence.
Been off for a few days due to computer problems and being on leave from work so no access to work computer.
Here is some advice from painful experience.
- Before turning off the power to your house, remember to shut down your computer first.
- Windows XP repair fixes just about everything, but it drops out your LAN in the process without bothering to tell you so you can’t even get onto the net in safe mode and have no idea why safe mode with internet access, which worked before the repair, won’t work after everything else has been fixed.
- If you don’t have the driver disk that came with your computer years ago, you won’t have a driver for your LAN and you can’t connect to the internet to download one.
- Make sure you have a mate who knows how to fix these things.
- Everybody else in the house will retain LAN and internet access, just to piss you off. :evil:

True, but it’s unfairly disparaging to suggest that a stud like Nick can’t get a whole woman but only a laptop.
